Gary Young has been creating one of a kind furniture and fixtures for the private sector since 1973. In 1979, while finishing work on his Bachelors Degree in Industrial Arts at San Francisco State University he entered the corporate world as an architectural drafter for a commercial window manufacturer where his responsibilities included supervising the drafting department as well as take-off estimator, project manager and jobsite liaison.
His Duties as project manager took him all over the world to jobsites in Guam, Japan, the Middle East and the Philippines. Highlights of his career were coordinating windows, doors and hardware products for several phases of the King Kahalid Military City (KKMC) in Saudi Arabia, The Joint Banking Centre in Kuwait, and a new passenger terminal at the Guam Internatinal Airport.
In 1989, after leaving his position as vice president of engineering, he bagan his professional career as a woodworker and handyman where for the past 30 years he has helped countless clients fulfill their dreams of having a custom designed kitchen, entertainment center, mantel or piece of furniture created to their exacting specifications. As a skilled handyman no job is too small. His experience in furniture and cabinet design as well as his knowledge of general household systems makes him a one stop, do it all service.
I can take your project from dream to reality.
In his leisure time Gary is an active musician directing the Rohnert Park Community Band, co-owning and playing saxophone in the Moonlighters Swing Band and adding to the worship experience at his church.
